About

Papillon Floral was founded by owner Olivia Rivas in 2012 in beautiful Sonoma County. The name Papillon is French for butterfly - which we see as the perfect symbol of what we do. The transformation of a butterfly is slow, patient, natural, and intentional and every part of the process is beautiful. The end result isn't rushed, and the delicate unique beauty is worth the wait!

Here at Papillon, we're guided by the principle of art not assembly line, that is, the traditional assembly line style of flower services, but also with the goal of more sustainability in the flower industry. Local flowers last longer, smell better, are better for those who harvest, and require less harmful shipping practices. We feature seasonal designer's choice options for flower delivery, ensuring that we're able to support our local flower farmers with our flower selection while also giving each customer a uniquely stunning piece of local, seasonal goodness.

That concept has carried over to the products we carry at Papillon. In addition to sustainable and good for the planet products, we prioritize sourcing from local, bipoc-owned, queer & trans-owned, and women-owned small businesses. We love supporting our makers, and we truly believe in the work they do and the quality of their products.

Papillon is a Latina-owned business with a talented and diverse staff. Our goal is to always create a safe and welcoming space for people of marginalized identities, and hope that is felt in our shop. We offer inclusive and affirming wedding services to couples of all identities, and want you to know that you're always welcome & wanted here.

We hope to see you in our new shop soon for plants, gifts, or bouquets! Follow us on Instagram for updates on our move and reopening.
